Here’s a glimpse into a leadership coaching session with Barton.

Unlocking Your Potential

“Vision has no ceiling,” Barton says. Every day, Barton hears stories passed down through generations and cultures that can hold people back without them realizing it. He encourages clients to tap into their authenticity by aligning their talents, gifts and passions with a clear vision. “The real work—the vital work—is helping individuals and organizations strip away the limitations they’ve unknowingly accepted, revealing the extraordinary impact they’re truly capable of creating,” he says. With this in mind, Barton’s mission is to be the catalyst for unlocking greatness and empowering others to create change in the world.

Two Common Leadership Mistakes and How to Avoid Them

Barton identifies two common mistakes leaders often make. The first is underestimating their potential for impact. “Even those who consider themselves visionaries often confine their dreams to the realm of incremental progress,” he says. “A 30% business growth or a promotional step up the corporate ladder—while commendable—barely scratches the surface of what’s possible.” He encourages leaders to envision growth that transforms industries and to create roles that go beyond traditional hierarchies. “If you find yourself dismissing these possibilities, ask yourself: Is it genuine impossibility, or is it simply fear disguised as practicality?” he says.

The second mistake Barton highlights is leaders attempting to take on the journey alone. “As Steve Jobs profoundly understood, true leadership means surrounding yourself with brilliance and having the wisdom to be guided by it,” Barton says. Whether through strategic partnerships, employees, peer networks or a coach, he believes growth happens at the intersection of diverse talent. By leaning on the strengths of others, leaders can unlock new possibilities. “Your vision may be personal, but your path to achieving it should never be solitary,” he says.

Managing vs. Inspiring Greatness

Barton says many employers are used to a management structure that focuses on authority and a power structure that has existed for centuries. While this model is a tale as old as time, it taps into only a small part of what people are truly capable of achieving. “True leadership, the kind that reshapes worlds, springs from a deeper well,” he says. “It emanates from leaders who burn with unwavering conviction and passionate belief in something greater than themselves.”

When a leader prioritizes authentic commitment and wholehearted dedication over rankings and authority, the entire team becomes stronger and more successful. This kind of leadership fosters trust, collaboration and a shared sense of purpose. “Under their influence, we don’t just meet expectations, we shatter them, achieving breakthroughs that once seemed impossible,” Barton says. “This is the essence of a kind of leadership that doesn't just manage the present, it architects the future.”

Barton is excited to work with companies, organizations and individuals who are focused not just on making money, but on making an impact.
