Local entrepreneur Josh Holstein has raised another $100,000 in funding for his company CellARide, offering an innovative way to sell cars through text messaging. The investment comes from Jim Carr of Mayhem Development and a second unnamed investor, each of whom are contributing $50,000 toward CellARide's growth.
"It is very exciting to partner with these solid business leaders and great mentors," Holstein says. "They see the CellARide vision and better yet, the Springfield startup community vision."
With CellARide, a person interested in selling his or her vehicle is assigned a RIDEtag number through the company. Potential buyers text that number to the company's free code and receive a mobile brochure with detailed vehicle information. Sellers get an email with shoppers' contact info in real time to make the process more convenient. To learn more, visit cellaride.com.
