Gary Whitaker Named to Folio: 100

Gary Whitaker, president and owner of Whitaker Publishing, has been named to the 2016 Folio: 100 list of honorees. The editors of Folio: describe the group of honorees as a collection of “content connoisseurs, dynamic disruptors, marketing masters, revenue generators and visionaries.” The distinction marks a big win for Whitaker Publishing, the parent company that houses 417 Magazine, Biz 417, 417 Home, 417 Bride, 417 Events and 417 Tix. Whitaker is identified as a “Corporate Catalyst” by Folio:, having worked to build the brand’s presence in 417-land, guide the business to new sustainable revenue extensions and influence the industry at large. Whitaker is currently serving a two-year term as the President of the City and Regional Magazine Association. The 100 honorees who represent every segment of the publishing industry will be recognized for their achievements at The Folio: Show in November in New York City.
