His vision for his role: “It’s part of our corporate vision, which is that we help ‘build sophisticated leaders who transform the face of their business.’ For me, in our region, I want to help business owners write epic stories of their success and transformation.”

Why Rhapsody was the right fit: “I looked at multiple coaching models out there. I had a friend who was with the company and started talking with me about it. I spent a whole month in an interview process. It was them interviewing me and me interviewing them. And in the end, after hours of conversations, I felt like these guys who owned this company, their values and mine best aligned.”

Where he gets inspiration: “I’m an avid reader, and I have some people whom I call mentors from afar. Some of them I’ve met, some of them I haven’t. I have a group of podcasts I listen to.” [Editor’s note: A few of Bowman’s favorites are Cut the Crap Podcast and author Gino Wickman’s Traction and Get A Grip.]

What’s in his remote office at Classic Rock Coffee: “I have a stand-up desk. I have a high, rolling chair. I have a nice comfortable leather chair and my 27-inch iMac with two additional monitors.”

What keeps him up at night: “On a personal level, my teenage boys. On a business level, the truth is, when I take on a client, they’re more than just a 9-to-5 client. This morning, I woke up at 3 o’clock and typed in a couple of notes to send to a client when I got up. It’s not every night, but it does happen.”

Advice he would give his younger self:
“Take the risk. Go for it. Live with no regrets. Realize you’re meant for more.”
